Hahaiah occupies the twelfth position in the Shem HaMephorash, the sequence of 72 divine names drawn from the three symmetrical verses of Exodus 14:19-21. This angelic codex, transmitted through medieval kabbalistic tradition and popularized in the modern era by authors such as Robert Ambelain and Haziel, attributes to each angel a five-degree zodiacal period and a series of specific virtues. Hahaiah belongs to the second angelic choir, that of the Cherubim, whose prince archangel is Raziel. Guardians of divine Wisdom in its most secret form, the Cherubim transmit interior knowledge that is not acquired through study but through silent receptivity and the availability of the soul. Hahaiah closes the Cherubim sequence of Taurus before the entry into Gemini.

In the tradition of the 72 angels, Hahaiah is associated with protection against adverse forces, mastery of troubling dreams, and the transformation of nightmares into teachings. He also presides over discretion, prudence in human relationships, and the ability to find an inner sanctuary even amidst external conflicts.
