Mihael is the 48th angel of the Shem HaMephorash, the sacred Name of 72 angelic names that Christian Kabbalah — notably in the lineage of Ambelain and Haziel — extracts from the 216 letters distributed across three verses of Exodus 14:19-21. He presides over 25°–30° of Scorpio, the final segment of this intense water sign, and belongs to the choir of Virtues, of which Raphael is the prince. This choir, the fifth in the hierarchy according to Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite, is associated with miracles accomplished in the natural world and the forces that maintain cosmic order. Mihael closes the Scorpio cycle within the choir of Virtues, positioning his influence as a hinge between the depth of water and the ardor of Sagittarius that follows.

In tradition, Mihael is the angel of peace in unions and fidelity in commitments. He is invoked to preserve harmony within couples, reconcile those separated by misunderstandings, and bless bonds formed in sincerity. He is also associated with the faculty of fostering fertility in the broadest sense — not only biological but creative and spiritual — as if his presence rendered fruitful any inner terrain where a project, a relationship, or an intention wishes to grow. Under the last degrees of Scorpio, he operates in the deepest zones of human bonding, where words no longer suffice and only presence truly counts.

To meditate with Mihael is to examine the quality of one's presence in relationships that matter. He invites moving beyond accumulated wounds to rediscover, beneath the layers of shared history, the raw material of tenderness and loyalty. His presence suggests that fidelity is not a constraint but a continuous act of choice — the decision, renewed each day, to see in the other a place of trust. He also reminds us that peace within bonds cannot be decreed: it is built grain by grain in the ordinary gestures of attention given.
