Yelahiah is the 44th name of the Shem HaMephorash, the cycle of 72 divine names drawn from the three Hebrew verses of Exodus 14:19-21 by the trilinear method. He belongs to the choir of Virtues, under the archangel Raphael, and reigns over 5° to 10° of Scorpio. This fixed water sign is the territory of depth, chosen sacrifice, and transmutation through ordeal — qualities that resonate directly with this angel's warrior, protective, and faithful function.

Yelahiah is the angel of just battles and faith in action. Tradition attributes to him the protection of those who take up arms for a legitimate cause, but also, in a metaphorical and contemporary sense, of all those who combat injustice, defend the oppressed, or refuse to bend before the tyranny of lies or institutional violence. He confers exceptional endurance in prolonged trials, the capacity to hold under constant pressure, and the ability to transform adversity into a source of strength rather than a reason for capitulation. He is associated with success in military, legal, or protective careers, as well as with the stability of bonds in lasting relationships founded on mutual commitment.

To meditate with Yelahiah is to identify one's own "just cause" — that for which one is genuinely willing to spend significant energy without waiting for recognition or immediate results. His breath is that of the inner warrior in its noblest sense: not raw violence or blind resistance, but disciplined force placed entirely in service of a value greater than oneself. He reminds us that standing upright in one's commitments, especially when everything pushes toward capitulation, is one of the most sacred acts the human soul can accomplish.

Traditional prayer to Yelahiah, to recite or meditate on during its regency period (October 25 – 29):

Yelahiah, eternal angel of the just cause, forge within me the endurance that does not bend and the discernment to distinguish the battle worth fighting to the end with dignity from the one better left unpursued.

How to pray to Yelahiah according to tradition

1. Recite its invocation verse, Psalm 119:108.
2. Meditate on its name, preferably during its regency period (October 25 – 29).
3. State an intention related to its domains: martial courage, just causes, endurance in trials, loyalty, protection of commitments.
