Sealiah

Sealiah is the 45th name of the Shem HaMephorash, the system of 72 divine names drawn from the three Hebrew verses of Exodus 14:19-21. He belongs to the choir of Virtues, under the archangel Raphael, and reigns over 10° to 15° of Scorpio. At the very heart of Scorpio, the fixed water sign that presides over death and rebirth, Sealiah embodies the fundamental paradox of this sign: it is precisely at the bottom of the steepest descent that the invisible ascending movement begins, where the seed waits in darkness for the soil to be warm enough to germinate.

His name evokes God as first cause and universal mover of the world — the creative intelligence that breathes movement into every atom of creation, that turns the cycles of seasons, that pushes sap into seemingly dead branches. Tradition attributes to him the power to reanimate the sick and the discouraged, to lift up those whom an ordeal has broken in their momentum, and to confound the proud and those who exercise power against the weak. He is the angel of the forces of nature in their complete cycle: germination in secrecy, stubborn growth, apparent decline, radical rebirth. He is invoked to rediscover the deep will to live after a collapse, to reconnect with the lost vital impulse, and to correct injustices linked to abuse of power or unbalanced relationships of force.

To meditate with Sealiah is to return to what is most fundamental and undeniable within oneself — the simple fact of still being alive, of breathing, of feeling the pulse of life in one's cells despite everything. His breath is that of the most radical renewal: not merely a regain of energy, but an authentic rebirth from an inner zero point, where nothing old can claim to define what one is. He invites us not to despair at the precise moment when all seems lost, for it is there, in the greatest darkness, that the great divine mover silently begins to turn again.

Prayer to the angel Sealiah

Traditional prayer to Sealiah, to recite or meditate on during its regency period (October 30 – November 3):

Sealiah, great mover of life that never fully stops, place your hand on what within me has gone dark and relight the primal fire — that original breath that still wants to live, especially when everything seems to say no.

How to pray to Sealiah according to tradition

1. Recite its invocation verse, Psalm 94:18.
2. Meditate on its name, preferably during its regency period (October 30 – November 3).
3. State an intention related to its domains: vital forces, rebirth after ordeal, resilience, justice against abuse of power, nature and cycles.

These practices belong to the spiritual and symbolic framework of the kabbalistic tradition.
