Haiaiel

Haiaiel is the seventy-first angel of the Shem HaMephorash, the penultimate of the complete chain of 72 divine names drawn from the three verses of Exodus. He belongs to the choir of Angels under the direction of the archangel Gabriel and reigns over 20° to 25° of Pisces, from March 11 to 15 — as the complete zodiacal cycle nears its end, only days before the spring equinox relaunches the wheel from the first degree of Aries. His position as the penultimate guardian gives him a particular gravity: he holds the eve of the ending, keeper of what remains to be accomplished before the great return to the beginning.

Tradition gives him a warrior nature in the spiritual sense: Haiaiel is the protector of those who must face forces that appear to surpass them. He fortifies courage, disperses irrational fears, and helps discern true adversities from those that are mere illusions or projections. Haziel and Ambelain describe him as the angel who grants victory to souls who fight for just causes — not through brute force but through the clarity of their intention and the purity of their commitment. He is also the angel of inner freedom: none can truly bind the one in whom Haiaiel dwells. He is also invoked to lift deep psychological blockages that prevent a soul from acting according to its own truth.

In meditation, Haiaiel is the inner sovereign — that part of oneself that knows, without hesitation, what is right and what is not. To invoke him is to call upon this quiet certainty that exists in everyone beyond doubt and constructed fears. He teaches that true mastery is not domination of the exterior, but governance of oneself — and that from this inner sovereignty radiates a peace that nothing can truly undo, even in the midst of the storm.
