Eyael

Eyael is the sixty-seventh angel of the Shem HaMephorash. He inaugurates the crossing of the Pisces sign within the final choir of Angels, under the guidance of the archangel Gabriel. His zodiacal domain extends over 0° to 5° of Pisces, from February 19 to 23 — the exact passage between Aquarian air and Piscean waters, where the dissolution of forms begins and a more intuitive perception of the world emerges. By occupying the first degree of Pisces, Eyael is the guardian of that delicate threshold between structure and fluidity.

Tradition attributes to him the virtue of transformation: Eyael is the angel who helps beings transmute suffering into understanding. In Haziel and Ambelain, he is presented as the protector of philosophers, mystics, and all those who seek, behind the veil of appearances, the deep reality of things. He inspires a genuine love of esotericism — not as worldly curiosity but as a path of inner knowledge. He is invoked to traverse existential crises with lucidity, to find hidden meaning within loss, so that pain might become, over time, a form of inner nobility. He is also associated with the understanding of mnemonic arts and the interpretation of symbolic signs that the world sends to those who know how to read them.

In meditation, Eyael is the figure of the chrysalis: he reminds us that the deepest transformation requires temporarily accepting the chaos of dissolution. What seems to be collapsing may simply be an old form releasing space for something vaster. To contemplate the name Eyael is to allow oneself to believe that every difficult passage carries within it the seed of a joy more profound than the one that preceded it — a joy that is no longer naïve but seasoned, and for that reason unshakeable.
