# Arcana 11: The Fair Judgment

Justice stands with a sword pointed upward and balanced scales in the other hand. She is dressed in red (action) and purple (spirituality), both legs visible in a position of stability. Her eyes are clear and impartial — she does not gaze at the subject of her judgment.

Justice speaks of balance, moral clarity, and personal responsibility. It is the law of cause and effect manifested as conscious action. When Justice appears, she reminds you that every action has a consequence, and that consequence is just and appropriate.

Justice is not vengeance — it is balance restored. If you have taken, you must give back. If you have given generously, you will receive generously. This is divine order in action. Justice also insists on clarity of thought and honest communication.

In business or legal matters, Justice indicates a fair judgment, a clear resolution, and the importance of being honest. In relationships, she speaks of the need for direct communication and mutual fairness.

Reversed, Justice may indicate injustice, a denial of responsibility, or a resistance to accepting the consequences of your actions. It is when someone avoids being held accountable.

Justice teaches you that you are responsible for your actions and that the universe rewards or corrects based on the integrity of your deeds. It is a card of personal power — you can create justice by living justly.
