Mahasiah is the fifth of the 72 angelic names drawn from Exodus 14:19-21, the ternary sequence of Hebrew letters whose combination generates the divine names. Like his predecessors, he belongs to the choir of Seraphim, the highest hierarchy according to the Pseudo-Dionysius classification adopted by Ambelain's Christian Kabbalah. His zodiacal territory — 20° to 25° of Aries — corresponds to the last ardent portion of the sign before it begins yielding to the density of Taurus. His prince Metatron is the guardian of the threshold between the human and the divine, and it is in this zone of transition that Mahasiah unfolds his soothing and restorative nature.

Mahasiah is traditionally qualified as the angel of reconciliation and spiritual education. He brings inner peace to those suffering from discord, helps overcome past mistakes without becoming mired in guilt, and fosters a gentle, trusting relationship with learning in all its forms. In tradition, he is particularly close to students of esoteric sciences, therapists, and all those who seek to elevate their being through direct knowledge and lived experience. He is also attributed the capacity to correct the most persistent character flaws — misplaced pride, reflexive anger, impatience — through a form of gentle and progressive grace rather than through constraint or forced willpower.

Symbolically, Mahasiah embodies the wisdom of serene acceptance — not passive resignation, but the inner state of one who has understood that peace does not wait for obstacles to disappear before it can exist and radiate outward. His meditation invites observation of how one reconciles with one's own limits, past errors, and zones of permanent incompleteness. The act of "saving oneself" his name evokes is not a spectacular gesture: it is the quiet decision, repeated each day with constancy, to choose inner clarity and gentleness toward oneself rather than sterile self-punishment.
