Kunzite
Stone of unconditional love and devotion — kunzite opens the heart to its highest dimensions, dissolving emotional resistance and connecting human love to universal love.
Kunzite is a pink variety of spodumene, named after the gemologist George Frederick Kunz who first described it in 1902. Its delicate pink to lilac color comes from trace amounts of manganese, and it is strongly pleochroic — displaying different shades of pink and near-colorless depending on the viewing angle. Linked to the heart chakra, kunzite healing properties center on emotional opening, the dissolution of self-protective walls, and the activation of unconditional love — both toward others and, crucially, toward oneself. In esoteric tradition it is called the stone of soul mates, not because it magically produces romantic relationships, but because it raises the heart's vibration to the frequency at which genuine soul-level connection becomes possible. Kunzite is also used to soothe anxiety, calm the nervous system, and support those who find love difficult after significant relational wounding. Its high vibration is gentle rather than confrontational — an invitation, not a demand.
The pink ray of the divine heart. It bridges personal love to cosmic love and is traditionally associated with soul mate connections and heart-centered spiritual development.
Place kunzite over the heart during a self-love meditation to dissolve self-criticism and open to the love that already exists within you.
