Psychic Senses
A plain guide to the intuitive senses: what each one claims, where it comes from, and why it works better as a way of examining yourself than as a way of predicting anything.
In short
What does psychic mean?
Psychic perception covers the practices of intuitively picking up information the five ordinary senses did not supply: clairvoyance for images, clairaudience for sounds, clairsentience for bodily feeling. No scientific study has validated these abilities beyond chance. They remain traditional tools for introspection and self knowledge, and they are worth approaching with that in mind.
The six intuitive disciplines
Clairvoyance
Seeing mental images that arrive unbidden: a symbol, a scene, a face. What separates it from ordinary imagination, for those who report it, is the sharpness and the fact that nobody went looking for it.
Clairaudience
Hearing words, phrases or inner sounds that do not come from active reasoning. Many describe a voice clearly distinct from the usual running commentary of the mind.
Clairsentience
Knowing through the body: a chill, a weight in the chest, a sudden warmth that lands before any rational read of the situation. The oldest and most common of the four.
Mediumship
Making yourself receptive to information experienced as coming from outside. The modern practice dates to nineteenth century spiritualism; psychology now files it under altered states of consciousness and unconscious material surfacing.
Pendulum and Dowsing
Using a pendulum to amplify a faint inner signal through the ideomotor effect, meaning unconscious micro movements of the muscles. It is a way into your own intuition rather than an instrument that measures anything outside you.
Intuitive Tarot
Reading the 78 cards as a projective surface: the traditional symbolism gives the frame, what you notice in it on a given day gives the reading.
Where we stand
Mystic Manga treats clairvoyance and mediumship as traditions and as tools for introspection, not as predictive sciences. Nothing in this section replaces professional medical, legal or financial advice. The messages offered here are generic prompts for reflection, never personalised predictions.
